Sculpting Kwamis: A Self-Paced Course for Sculptors with some experience 🌟 Kwamis are mystical, fairy-like creatures that grant superpowers to their Miraculous wielders, transforming them into animal-themed superheroes in the popular French animated series Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir. In this advanced sculpting course, students will learn to sculpt 8 miniature Kwamis, each unique in design and detail, using audio and video lessons combined with step-by-step guides. This is not a very beginner sculpting class. The parts are small and require intricate details, making it ideal for those with prior sculpting experience. Course Highlights: Self-Paced Learning: No live meetings—work at your own pace and access lessons anytime. Nearpod Platform: Interactive and engaging lessons with video, audio, and visual aids. Detailed Step-by-Step Guides: Break down the sculpting process into manageable segments. Focus on Detail: Learn to sculpt each Kwami with accurate details, bringing their magical essence to life. Kwamis We Will Sculpt: Lesson #1: Tikki, the Ladybug Kwami (Miraculous of Creation) Lesson #2: Plagg, the Black Cat Kwami (Miraculous of Destruction) Lesson #3: Wayzz, the Turtle Kwami (Miraculous of Wisdom) Lesson #4: Pollen, the Bee Kwami (Miraculous of Protection) Lesson #5: Stompp, the Ox Kwami (Miraculous of Strength) Lesson #6: Trixx, the Fox Kwami (Miraculous of Illusion) Lesson #7: Nooroo, the Butterfly Kwami (Miraculous of Transmission) Lesson #8: Mullo, the Rat Kwami (Miraculous of Secret) Bonus Lesson: Plagg Drawing: Learn how to draw Plagg, the Black Cat Kwami, in his signature mischievous style. Suggested Supplies: Polymer Bake Clay (a tiny bit goes a LONG way with miniatures!!) Basic Sculpting tools, toothpick or pointed tool, small rolling pin or paintbrush handle, large dotting tool and/or ball tool (for indentation) Cutting tool or clay knife A Baking sheet covered with parchment paper (don’t bake directly on it) A non stick surface to work on Variety of colors of polymer clay (see character list) Metal sculpting/jewelry wire (you will need to cut small pieces to attach the head to body) Jewelry eye pins (optional, to turn into charms prior to baking) OPTIONAL: Clear Water-Based Gloss Polyurethane, Mod Podge or Sculpey Gloss Glaze for after baking **Polymer clay requires baking according to the package direction. (Generally ~275 °F, depending on your brand of clay). You may do this after class. Parental help is necessary. NOTE: Students may use air dry clay if they prefer not to use polymer bake clay

Hi There!
I'm Lori...a graduate of F.I.T in NYC. I've worked in different areas of the design industry since 1991, from illustration, pattern making, garment construction to designing full story boards for buyers. I tutored Fashion Illustration for a few years to help other students complete their professional portfolios before their interviews. Besides getting creative, I LOVE animals! I have quite a few furry little beasts. Right now, my profession is Graphic Design, but fashion illustration and design is still what I do when I need to unwind from technology. I believe that once you learn the basics of how to get that creativity out of your mind and onto paper, you open up a whole new world, being able to share and build on your talents.
*Teacher Rori
They/Them
As an alumni of Cleveland Institute of Art with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Game Design they have a passion for interactive art and how they can push the boundaries of what interactive art means. Having been a visual arts assistant at their old high school Interlochen Arts Academy during the summers, teaching others and seeing the joy in what people create has motivated Rori to pursue teaching. In their free time Rori likes to aquascape. Creating aquariums of any variety of sizes and making little beautiful habitats for their favorite type of fish a Betta fish, they currently have 2 bettas and 4 tanks.

She/Her
Throughout my career in education, I have developed a strong foundation for fostering creativity and critical thinking among students. I have had the privilege of designing and implementing art programs that engage learners and inspire them to explore their unique artistic voices in many afterschool programs since 2019. My extensive experience across various mediums—such as painting, yarn and needlework, jewelry making, and digital arts—has equipped me with the versatility to adapt my teaching methods and cater to diverse learning styles.
*Teacher Jonathan
I have been working in the design/visual arts world for the last 6 years. From designing websites, to doing personal commissions, art is something I’m very passionate about. I had the chance to live in New York for the last 3 years, and had the opportunity to visit world-renowned museums and galleries such as The Met, MoMA, Guggenheim etc. I also curated an Art Gallery with over 200 artworks from local artists in upstate NY. I’m thrilled to bring my experience to these lessons and share that enthusiasm with my students.
