Description

Class Experience

Note: This course is a modified and shortened version of my current 55 minute class "Video Game Fitness." This class also moves at a fast pace, but with fewer transitions and developmentally appropriate movements to ensure student success and movement confidence!

What are students learning?
- Exciting and innovative ways to stay physically active while celebrating their love of video games and video game characters
- Connecting with others who enjoy video games while engaging in high quality physical literacy skills
- Life long fitness skills that can be used at home ANY TIME!

Why are students learning it?
- It's always fun to connect with other video game and fitness fans!
- It's super important, now more than ever, to stay physically active and to engage in physical activity EVERY DAY
- This can be a great opportunity to engage students who may not necessarily enjoy traditional sport specific skills. Rather, this class involves more lifelong fitness skills!

How will we know if students are successful?
- Students will be able to successfully participate in 60 minutes of high quality physical activity
- Students will be able to share their love of video games through movement, writing, and sharing aloud with others.
- Students will be able to reflect on their own experiences and compare/contrast them with the video gaming world
