Teacher expertise and credentials
I am a former high school math teacher. I also have taught GED classes for adults. I am also a former children's and youth minister. I have worked with students of all ages. Presently, I tutor students in Math and English as a Second Language. I have homeschooled my children for over 10 years.

I am TEFL and TESOL certified. I have taught ESL classes online for 6 years. I have been teaching on Outschool for 4 years.

I teach a variety of classes. I teach classes to help prepare students for Algebra. I also will have classes helping students succeed in a math class and have less "math anxiety". Because of my homeschooling background, I want to offer a variety of classes. I am passionate about helping student succeed in math. I also have a heart for helping students learn more about diversity and embracing other cultures and traditions. This became a passion of mine when my family lived in South Korea a few years ago. We lived and worked with people of many different nationalities. We grew to love many of these people like family. I found a new appreciation for other races, nationalities and languages.

My teaching philosophy and passion is helping students succeed by using a variety of teaching methods. Every student is different. Therefore, teachers should use a variety of avenues of instruction to help each student reach their best potential.

I love to read, watch Netflix, spent time with my family, and write content for my blogs and social media. I look forward to meeting many of you in my classroom!

CLASS EXPECTATIONS:
Students will be told the class expectations at the beginning of class. Students can go on mute during class if there is background noise. The teacher will reserve the right to mute a student if the background noise is too loud, or the student is being disruptive.
