Welcome Mini Chefs! In this class, students learn how to cook and make something new each week! We will learn how to make a bunch of different fun and exciting things in this class and the best part is- you can eat it after! Cooking and baking is a really fun way to express yourself. We will be learning how to make a range of different things from traditional dishes, fun and creative dishes to pancakes and more! Who can forget about fries? Did anyone say smoothies? Students will learn how to improve their skills as chefs in the kitchen.
I absolutely love cooking. From baking to being a 5 star (at home) chef, I have learned to cook from my mother and have learned techniques from my great grandmother who was an executive chef at Sandy Lane Hotel. One of the best hotels in the world. My cooking style is unique and very fun! I love to express myself in the kitchen. It's a wonderful way for me to express my love to those around me and a great way for me to nourish my body as well! As a professional dancer, cooking is a part of my everyday life and I had to learn to cook to fuel and nourish my body and also had to learn to cook so that I could have the energy needed to help me throughout my entire day! I am so passionate about this side of my life and would absolutely love to share it with you!
Enjoying the delicious meal we just made! :) Sometimes there will be handouts to really see if students are paying attention to different things in class!
Before each class- a supply list will be sent out with the different items that you will need for what we are making that day! Don't worry- it will be provided at least 24 hours in advance. You will also receive a handout on occasion depending on what we are making.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Learner is assessed by overall effort and finishing product.
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
For our Mini Chefs- parental guidance is recommended as we will be in the kitchen and there are hot appliances and other hazardous things in the kitchen. We want our Mini Chefs to be safe :)
