In this Multi-Day (1 time a week for 6 weeks) class, student ranging in age from 7 to 12 years of age, will come to class and show off their Minecraft creation they have created PREVIOUS of class! We will start class off with a greeting where everyone will introduce themselves. We will go over the expectations and rules of the class. Next, we will jump into showing off our Minecraft creations. Please have the device your Minecraft is on with you ready to go. The student will be able to share their Minecraft creation on the share classroom screen or they will hold up their device and share that way. If this is not possible or there is IT issues learners will be guided to either take a picture or take a video and upload it to the classroom discussion board. Student will each have an opportunity to show off their creations (if they choose too) and explain the details of their creation. Each student will have a certain amount of class time (depending on the class size) to share their creation. While the student is walking/showing us their creations ... other student will be able to ask this student any question they may have or make comments on the build (all positive responses please). After each student has shared their creations we will come back together to share tips and tricks. If time allows: We will start creating our creations for the next week! I will give the topic of what the student should create during this time (This is also listed below). Again, we will start these creations in class and student will need for finish their creation before the next class. Each week, there will be a different creation student will need to finish and bring to class. Minecraft Creations by week: session 1: a house session 2: a tree house session 3: a farm/barn session 4: a hidden base session 5: a castle session 6: a town/village During this time of creative building student will communicate with other student, ask questions, and also answer questions. ***Please bring your devices to class!!! This class will be tons of fun! I love teaching and part of teaching is have so much fun. Student will be learning social skills along with listening and communication skills all while doing what they love ....Minecraft. This classroom is very laid back so students can be themselves and not feel scared to get something wrong. If questions come to an end I will continue the discussion with who, when, where, and how questions. For whatever reason a student does not feel comfortable speaking they may pass! I want all students to have fun! I cannot wait to see you in class. Teacher Sarah
