Greetings Fellow Minecraft Adventurers! Your mission is to find the lost ruins, recover the golden statue, and follow the dangerous path back to the escape plane...if you can! As each adventurer completes the mission, they will be transported to the free-build area while awaiting the success of the other adventurers. Once the group is reassembled, we will look at the programming behind the game. Previous knowledge for redstone and command blocks is not required. **IMPORTANT** This course is for Minecraft Java Edition for PC, Mac, and Linux ONLY and is NOT compatible with Game Consoles, iPads or any other devices. Basic experience of playing Minecraft is required for joining the game. This one-time class offers: * Problem solving skills * Critical thinking skills * Creativity opportunities * Programming skills with redstone and command blocks Playing the jungle game will take about 30 minutes of class. The remaining time will be the programming tutorial. ** This world exists on a teacher hosted Minecraft Realm. So, parents can be reassured that only approved learners can have access to the world. ** Parents will be need to send me their child's screen name so that I can give them access to the world. ** Verbal communication takes place through the Zoom app. So learners will need to make sure not to turn it off.
