Students will develop knowledge of 11 different periods in time or historical persons. Students will also expand their creativity.
Students will work on each week's Minecraft build, at their own leisure, to be able to show at the next class session. Each student is also encouraged to read at least one of the two suggested books in its entirety for that week to cement what they learn. Depending on the student's Minecraft skills and creativity of each student, 1-3 hrs will be needed during the week to get the build ready for their showing in class.
Students will need to be able to have access to their version of Minecraft and stay in the Outschool meeting at the same time. Students will need access to Magic Tree House or The Time Warp Trio book series.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
