Minecraft Riddles, Search & Find, and Trivia! (Section 1)
Class experience
In this class, students will explore their interest in Minecraft to solve riddles, search & find characters, and answer trivia questions to get their brain activated! Students do not need to take section 1 first. All sections (more to come) can be taken in any order and will have different content. We will use both Kahoot and Zoom during this lesson. I highly recommend having a second device (such as a cell phone or tablet) for Kahoot. Another option is to have both Zoom and Kahoot open at...
Students will be using their critical thinking skills to interpret information and make determinations.
I was a 2nd grade teacher for 3 years and taught all subject areas, including math. My students LOVED Minecraft, so I enjoyed incorporating Minecraft into my classroom when I had the opportunity. I find that students learn best when the topic is of interest to them. I have tutored elementary, middle school, and high school students for over 10 years. In addition, I have taught summer school for the past 3 years and taught English online. I am certified to teach all content areas through 6th grade. I have my Special Education and ESL certifications through 12th grade.
Welcome! I'm excited that you joined this class! Feel free to bring a Minecraft related object/toy to share (if you wish) at the beginning of class! We will use both Kahoot and Zoom during this lesson. I highly recommend having a second device (such as a cell phone or tablet) for Kahoot. Another option is to have both Zoom and Kahoot open at the same time on a computer or laptop and go between screens. Students cannot go back and forth between screens on an iPad or tablet so if they are using an iPad or tablet for Zoom, they will need a second device for Kahoot. You can download the Kahoot app (free), however that it is not necessary. The website (Kahoot.it) will work just fine. You do not need to sign up for anything or create an account. The website is free to use and all you have to do is enter a game pin, which I will give a few minutes before class and also at the start of class. Thank you! I'm looking forward to seeing you in class! :)
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
