🚀 Class Description:
Calling all Minecraft artists! This is a social club meant just for you. Every week, students will come and use Minecraft blocks and materials to creatively draw pixel art. Teachers will have a private server with a super flat world that will act as a canvas. There are no bad guys, no gathering materials, and no limits to their imaginations!

Teachers can help learners plan, design, and draw their favorite characters. Mario, Zelda, Pokémon, Kirby, Sonic, TV cartoons, movies, and anime can all be sources of inspiration for learners. Drawings can be as large as a learner wants, because in the world of Minecraft, the virtual sky is the limit!

If you do not see a time that works for your schedule, please reach out and we will try to accommodate schedule requests.

🥳 Small Class Sizes:
Our smaller class sizes guarantee quality attention given to each individual!
Rather than getting lost inside a giant class or being isolated inside a Zoom breakout room, our teachers play along on their screens and get to know every individual, and learners are given a chance to form true bonds of friendship.

⚡Class Objectives:
Students can come up with their own inspiration to draw using Minecraft. Our teachers will have ideas ready for students who need some inspiration, but students are welcome to draw anything they want. At the end of each class, we’ll share what we’ve worked on!

This class is primarily student led for each week. Students of all artistic skill levels are welcome to join this class.

📝 Class Requirements:
- A love for art
- Minecraft Bedrock Edition, downloaded and ready to play
- A device to play Minecraft Bedrock Edition
- A Microsoft account
- Basic familiarity with the controls of Minecraft (Bedrock Edition)
- A strong Internet connection for gaming

❔ Minecraft FAQ
What is Java edition and what is Bedrock edition?
- Java edition can only be played on a PC. Bedrock edition is cross-platform (can be played on PC, Switch, Xbox). If you aren't sure which edition your student is playing on, send us a message and we will help you out.

How does my student get a Minecraft account?
- Students just need to have a Microsoft account to login on Minecraft. It is a quick and free to setup.

Are the servers private for these classes?
- Yes, all of our servers are private. That means that only students who are enrolled in the class will be able to access the world where we are playing. There will be no strangers or online chat in our Minecraft worlds.

⚠️ Parental Guidance:
This is strictly an art class. We will not be playing any Minecraft other than using the software to draw and build artwork in this class. The teacher might pull up a reference photo of different characters to help give students ideas and references.

⌨️ Gamer Tags:
Gamer tags will be visible during gaming. Students can add each other as friends if they would like to, however it is not a requirement for the class.
Learning Goals
Our goal in all of our classes is to give students, especially neurodiverse students, a safe place to express themselves. We also hope that they will make great friends who share their interests and passions, including video games, art, and literature!
