This is an ongoing drawing class specifically about learning to draw Minecraft characters and other pixal type art, for students who are new to drawing or have basic drawing skills, and then learn to draw in the pixal art style by hand.

how to draw in a blocky pixel style. learn how to use graph paper for drawing learn how to use tracing paper learn about the color wheel, tints, shades and hues
When I started The Painting Panda, my goal was to offer a variety of art classes, that my own kids would love, and offer them to many different children with hopes that they love my classes, my teaching style, and my creativity. My boys love LOVE love Minecraft, and we've been learning to draw them, play the Xbox game, and read the books. I'm so excited to offer a class where we can all learn to draw our favorite characters, buildings, animals, objects, and then create our own as well, and find out how to draw in different techniques as well.

pencils eraser thin black sharpie (this is a must please) graph paper (basic graph paper to help us draw and count the pixels) tracing paper drawing paper (blank no lines) Optional items for coloring: crayons colored pencils markers
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
This is a live class, you are welcome to sit next to your student, but must stay off screen as much as possible as per Outschool's student safety policy since our classes are recorded.
