This is an ongoing drawing class specifically about learning to draw Minecraft characters and other pixal type art, for students who are new to drawing or have basic drawing skills, and then learn to draw in the pixal art style by hand.

Welcome to The Painting Panda Classroom: Learn to draw Pixal Art like Minecraft! THIS CLASS IS ON SUMMER BREAK. I AM ADDING A COMBINED DRAWING CLASS JUST FOR SUMMER WHERE WE'LL DRAW MANY THINGS INCLUDING MINECRAFT THINGS. This is a Subscription Class, meaning you can come and go as your schedule allows. But that you are also automatically enrolled each week until you stop your learner's subscription. This is a high demand class, and spots don't stay open long. Pixal art is fun, creative and very unique as it takes 3 dimensional items and turn them first into 2 dimensional items, blocking them out, and then building them back into 3 dimensional items. This type of art does take basic drawing skills, as we'll be using graph paper, then tracing paper, then drawing paper throughout the individual weeks. Please see the list below for the prerequisites to see if you child can join us. I want each child to be happy, have fun, and be confident in their art, we want to set them up for success, this is a basic class, but some skills still need to be known for a frustration free class. Shapes: squares, rectangles, triangles, circles, ovals Drawing elements: drawing straight lines (doesn't need to be perfect, but knows this idea) Counting: needs to be able to easily and confidently (by one's self or with help) count to 50 For each class we will focus on 1 item to draw together as a class. Parental Guidance
This is a live class, you are welcome to sit next to your student, but must stay off screen as much as possible as per Outschool's student safety policy since our classes are recorded.

pencils eraser thin black sharpie (this is a must please) graph paper (basic graph paper to help us draw and count the pixels) tracing paper drawing paper (blank no lines) Optional items for coloring: crayons colored pencils markers

When I started The Painting Panda, my goal was to offer a variety of art classes, that my own kids would love, and offer them to many different children with hopes that they love my classes, my teaching style, and my creativity. My boys love LOVE love Minecraft, and we've been learning to draw them, play the Xbox game, and read the books. I'm so excited to offer a class where we can all learn to draw our favorite characters, buildings, animals, objects, and then create our own as well, and find out how to draw in different techniques as well.Reviews
