What Learners Will Explore Students will dive into Minecraft architecture, learning design principles while recreating famous historical landmarks. Class Structure Each session follows a structured approach: - Introduction to the landmark’s history and design - Hands-on guided Minecraft building session - Creative customization and group discussion Teaching Approach Project-based learning with historical insights, guided builds, and hands-on design challenges to enhance creativity. Learning Style Hands-on and immersive—students construct, experiment, and refine their builds while understanding real-world architecture. Other Details
Parental Guidance
In this class, the student is expected to have the Minecraft Bedrock version installed on their system before joining the class. Bedrock version only works on the Windows PC. If you are using a Mac/Chromebook it is recommended to install Minecraft on a second device such as an iPad/tab.
We will share the step-by-step guide to install Minecraft and account creation.
In case you encounter any challenges while installing Minecraft, we will be more than happy to assist you.
The teacher will be able to see the username/gamertag of the student during the class.
Supply List
Minecraft Bedrock Edition is required for this program and it requires a Microsoft account to play. See below. -Minecraft- https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/download/server/bedrock -You must have a PC to run this edition of Minecraft. -Note For Mac Users: Bedrock edition does not work on the Mac. -Materials (like a mouse) for a better learning experience.
