Welcome to Minecraft Missions 4 Kids, a fun and interactive course designed to teach kids in grades 2-4 how to work collaboratively in Minecraft Education Edition. In this class, you'll join a team of pro-builders to complete unique missions while learning essential construction, leadership, and team skills. Throughout this five-day course, we'll use student-centered learning techniques to help participants identify and achieve construction goals, develop critical thinking and communication skills, and enhance creativity. Each session is unique, so kids can take the course multiple times to experience new challenges and missions. Our teaching style is based on a collaborative project-based approach. Participants will work together in Minecraft Education Edition's multiplayer servers to design and build large-scale missions. Each participant will bring their unique skills and creativity to the team, allowing everyone to learn from each other and develop their teamwork skills. In our Minecraft Missions 4 Kids course, students will learn how to: Work in a collaborative team-based environment in Minecraft Education Edition Develop projects as part of a team Identify and set goals for construction Provide perspective to collaborators while following a general theme for building Our class structure is designed to encourage interaction and engagement. Participants will have ample opportunities to interact with the instructor and each other through discussions, games, and interactive learning activities. We'll use a variety of teaching techniques such as lectures, video clips, and slides to make learning more engaging and fun. Day 1: Students will learn the History of Minecraft and What is new, Build your own cabin for camp, Brainstorm your ideas for your group project Day 2: Students will Review major themes if groups have not yet selected theirs in the previous session, provide examples for projects in that theme, Set tasks for group members with clear objectives. Day 3: Students will learn about how to detail the interior of a Minecraft build, what makes the exteriors really stand out. Learn about landscaping the world around the mission as well. Day 4: Students will continue working on the Mission Map. Have friends try your adventure and give suggestions to help you make a fun gaming experience, Discuss constructive criticism and moving goalposts Day 5: Students will finish your project and have friends test it, showcase your world to your classmates, take screenshots for your collection To participate in this course, learners don't need any prior experience or knowledge of Minecraft. We welcome all skill levels, and our instructors will provide support and guidance to ensure everyone has a positive and enriching experience.
