In this exciting 60 minute class, students will enhance their English grammar and comprehension skills by completing a series of Minecraft challenges and games. The class is lead by a live tutor, who will guide students through the game challenges. After completing each English adventure, students will receive Minecraft 'Tickets' which can be used for a number of amazing Minecraft games and rides in the Fun Land. Our objective is to show students how much fun English can be. The topics are diverse and include legends and myths from the English language. The approach we use builds on years of research with some of the world's leading experts and Minecraft educators. The entire Minecraft world has been created by us to specifically teach elementary and middle school English. There are in total 12 themed areas covering grammar and comprehension. Class Agenda: Welcome and Introductions Join a multi-player Minecraft world hosted by the tutor Overview of the themed challenge Play and learn Wrap up Teaching Methodology: Our approach is project-based. We strongly believe that engaged, happy students are the best learners. Our projects have an end goal, and most are game based. We have up to a maximum of 6 student in this class, allowing the class to be interactive with lots of opportunities to ask questions and share knowledge. What you would need: Please make sure that the learner has access to the latest version of Minecraft Bedrock or Pocket Edition app. This version of Minecraft is available on Windows PC, iPAD, Android. You will also require an Xbox Live account - this is a free account that can be created from the Minecraft App when clicking on 'sign in'. It is very important that you join the Minecraft Realm BEFORE the class. Joining details are provided to enrolled learners. Please check system requirements prior to booking with us if you're not sure. Age Requirement: 7 to 12 Minecraft playing experience would be helpful, but not necessary.

Goal of this class is to improve English grammar and comprehension using a game platform that children know and love. We believe learning with a smile and having fun is the best way for students to learn these important English skills.Other Details

The server joined by the students is private and secure. It will only be used by the class participants and the teacher will have admin access.
Supply List
Minecraft Bedrock Edition or Minecraft Pocket Edition. Note: this version of Minecraft does NOT work on MacOS computers. The Minecraft app is available for purchase through the relevant App Store: - Minecraft Windows 10 - available for purchase through the Microsoft Store for approx $30 - Minecraft Pocket Edition on iPAD - available from App Store for approx $6 to $10 - Minecraft Bedrock Edition You will need an Xbox Live account. This can be created by clicking on the "Sign In" button on your Minecraft home screen. Join the Realm Server with the provided link code.
