In this 3-day class, students will review Kindergarten and 1st grade Dolch sight words using Minecraft GIFs and then practice these sight words by playing a Kahoot game!

Description
Class Experience
Students will practice identifying Kindergarten and 1st grade Dolch sight words.
I was a 2nd grade teacher for 3 years and taught all subject areas, including math. My students LOVED Minecraft, so I enjoyed incorporating Minecraft into my classroom when I had the opportunity. I find that students learn best when the topic is of interest to them. I have tutored elementary, middle school, and high school students for over 10 years. In addition, I have taught summer school for the past 3 years and taught English online. I am certified to teach all content areas through 6th grade. I have my Special Education and ESL certifications through 12th grade.
Students will have the option to use their own device to play Kahoot. This is encouraged but not required. If students want to play Kahoot using their own device, I strongly recommend having one device for Zoom and another separate device for Kahoot.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
2 hours 15 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
In Minecraft, there is mention of swords, pickaxes, and zombies.
