The is a 2-class course on how Psychology is intertwined into Minecraft. This course will give the learners the opportunity to learn and understand Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs in terms of Minecraft.

Class Experience

The goal of this course is for the students to gain an understanding of how Psychology is such an important subject, and how it is embedded into everything we do in our lives.  The students will be presented Maslow's hierarchy of needs, but in a way they can understand and relate to.  It seems as though children of all ages enjoy and appreciate Minecraft, so being able to relate these important Psychology concepts to their games will allow of them to really be able to understand what is being presented.
The students will be asked to take what is presented and create their own Minecraft world using the Hierarchy of Needs as their basis.
Minecraft, any edition or gaming platform.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
