Minecraft is a game that requires discipline and patients to play. The game is a puzzle-adventure game in which players mine pixelated landscapes to harvest stylized cube-like materials. This will be a great opportunity for students to learn how to make intuitive decisions under pressure from an in game first-person perspective, players traverse an “open-world” environment, avoid hazards, build new structures, and craft weapons (e.g., swords, axes, bows) to occasionally defend against monsters (e.g., zombies, wolves, skeletons, spiders). It will teach kids to stay calm, collective and level headed while players explore a blocky, procedurally generated, three-dimensional world with virtually infinite terrain. My expertise and ability is building effective youth programs that inspires and encourages life skill lessons to learners by using Minecraft as a tool to help your child acquire the important life skill of communication, teamwork and leadership. The goal is that each learner leaves each class knowing that they all acquire the ability to discover the purpose of never giving up in life!
