*It was an evening like any other; you brushed your teeth, got into bed and went to sleep. But when you woke up in the morning, you didn't see your ceiling. Instead, you saw a crazy new world where you were surrounded by blocks. Finally it dawns on you: you have been transported into Minecraft, but how do you get out?...* In this ongoing class, students will use critical thinking and problem solving skills to solve puzzles and escape Minecraft Escape Rooms. The class will begin with an icebreaker/ Minecraft game, we will then move on to a lesson on a critical thinking/ problem solving skill. Students will then be introduced to a Minecraft Escape Room, in which they will use teamwork, problem-solving and communication skills to find the clues and escape. This is class is great for socializing students, learning new critical thinking skills and applying them to solve puzzles and problems. Below is the Minecraft Escape Room Schedule: Week 1: You Have Been Transported to Minecraft...How Do You Get Out? (Critical Thinking Skill: Act it Out) Week 2: Protect your House from Mobs (Critical Thinking Skill: Working Backwards) Week 3: Gather Supplies (Critical Thinking Skill: Guess and Improve) Week 4: Defeat the Ender Dragon Escape Room (Critical Thinking Skill: Make a List-this includes making a table) No prior knowledge is needed for this class. Please don't hesitate to message me if you have any questions. As well, if you have any issues with the class/ are unsatisfied, please feel free to message me and I will be sure to try to make things right in any way that I can. I hope to see you in my class! :) *Note: We will not be playing Minecraft but will be escaping Minecraft themed Escape Rooms*
