In this one week (4-day) camp, students will create their own Minecraft comic book! Students will bring their ideas to life as we learn about character development, plot, and conflict/resolution.

Class Experience
In this 4 day course, we will bring your Minecraft ideas to life through narrative writing and meaningful illustrations. Together, we will learn how to develop a setting, plot, characters, conflict, and resolution. Are you ready to bring your ideas and creativity to life? Session 1: Brainstorm - Students will use a graphic organizer to plan out characters, setting, and the problem/solution. Students will be able to apply the narrative writing elements in their comic book by establishing a plot, setting, characters, conflict, and resolution.
We will be focusing on a small section of our book each time we meet. I will provided independent work time at the end of class for students to work on a specific part of their book and to get help from me. Students may need to spend a small amount of time outside of class to finish up a section so that they are caught up by the next time we meet.
- Printouts provided upon enrollment (this is the brainstorming pages and book template) - Pencil - Crayons or colored pencils
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Learners will not be formally graded on their books. Students will be provided with a checklist to make sure that they have every narrative writing element in their book. Students will have the opportunity to share their writing on our class FlipGrid. This website will be provided on our private classroom page.
3 hours 20 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
