Class Experience

Start coding Python in Minecraft. Learn the basics of Python, including syntax, data types, variables, conditionals, for and conditional loops, lists and functions. Students will join the cadet program at a fictional software development company called Coding Mine. The cadets will be correcting errors in existing pieces of code, and writing Minecraft Python programs using the correct syntax. 
After the students have completed all the tasks for Coding Mine, they will be exploring the exciting Kingdom of Floating Islands. Through a series of themed tasks in each island, students will review the basic concepts of Python programming language.

** Daily Schedule: After the first 90 minutes of class, there will be a 15-minute break, followed by another 75 minutes of class.

Module7: While loops & sequences

Supply List
• PC Windows (version 10), Chromebook ( OS 83 and up) and MAC (iOS 10.13 and up). This class does NOT support any other devices. 
• Download and install the latest version of Minecraft: Education Edition software from https://education.minecraft.net/get-started/download/. The software is free. The school account login will be provided by Computer Adventures on or before the first day of class. 
• An external mouse  (2 buttons and a scroll wheel) is strongly recommended.
• Stable internet network connection.
