Did you know that biomes are all around the world, even in Minecraft? In this instruction, slide-based class, your child will learn the different characteristics of the biomes below from the real world. We will learn about some of the locations, plants, and animals in the biomes below using teacher lead slides. Please note, we do not play Minecraft in this class, nor do we log into Minecraft during this class. - Tundra - Tropical Rainforest Forest - Savanna/Grasslands - Desert - Temperate Forest - Aquatic After we review the real world, each child will then discuss the biome(s) they have created in Minecraft. Please note, we do not play Minecraft in this class. Students are encouraged to share in detail their biome worlds from playing Minecraft at home or with friends. Do they have a snowy tundra, snowy taiga (boreal forest), savanna/plain, jungle, desert, badlands, ocean, rainforest?
Learning Goals
Students will be able to identify different biomes by the characteristics of the land, animals or plants.
