An ongoing gamer class for neurodivergent learners, where we have fun playing Minecraft, and learning social and gaming skills taught by our experienced hard core gaming teachers, who are also Neurodivergent themselves.
Class experience
This is an ongoing Minecraft gaming class where learners will choose our game mode; Learn the game of Minecraft, teamwork , and socialization skills with other neurodivergent thinkers as well as a neurodivergent teacher. Students must have some knowledge of video games, and how to walk around and use game controls. Minecraft helps neurodivergent learners gain critical thinking skills, and promotes imagination. Not only do I teach core subjects, but I am a gamer with personal life experience, as well as education in computer science and website design. Additionally, I am Neurodivergent and have experience with children and other adults who are also on the spectrum, or have special needs.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Gamer tags are required for gaming. For safety and privacy, please message the teacher privately and give your gamer user name prior to the class, and do not share your gamer with the other students. Students must have some knowledge of video games, and how to walk around and use game controls.
