What's included

Homework
1 hour per week. They will be instructed to practice any Mindfulness tool that they learn in each class every day.

Class Experience

Students learn different types of Mindfulness practices and different Mindful Games. 
I use Mindful Games Activity Cards and Guided Mindfulness lessons to help them understand the concept of mindfulness better, being mindful of their emotions, and respond vs react. They learn to calm themselves when they encounter any strong emotions. They will learn how to be kind and caring for themselves and each other.
Topics include:
Week1: First session: Mindful Listening, Mindful Breathing, use different breathing cards and exercises.
            The second session: Sending Kind Thoughts to ourselves and others, use Mindful Gamecards
Week 2: First session: Body Awareness, Body Scan, using Mindful Games for a body scan, learn more breathing exercises.
             Second session: Mindful Movements Lesson and use Slowly- Slowly Gamecard.
Week 3: First session: Mindful Eating Lesson and use game card, Take a bite. Do some breathing exercises.
              Second session: Mindful Seeing Lesson and different breathing practices
Week 4: First session: Mindfulness of Emotions and thoughts Lesson part 1, using Emojis to learn the emotions better.
              Second session: Mindfulness of Emotions and thoughts Lesson part 2, using more Emojis to learn the emotions in the body. 
              Wrap up, review, and regular daily practice.
At the end of each session, students have time to share their mindfulness experiences and get the takeaway practice.
Learning Goals
Students will learn to increase their focus and concentration. They will learn to be kinder to themselves and to each other.
They will learn to take a pause and calm themselves down when they are sad, angry, disappointed or having any strong emotions

Parental Guidance
I teach Mindfulness in a completely secular way, not attached to any religion.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
