________
* Although this class section has ended, I am looking to start a new version of mindfulness and creativity class in the near future. Should you have any ideas or feedback, you're welcome to send me a message thanks! I have thoroughly enjoyed sharing teaching this particular listed class.
________

Our mindfulness classes will be once a week and will involve a routine sequence of activities. This will encompass a variety of skills, foster qualities of good character and also importantly, provide opportunities for self-expression in various forms for a better mental health balance.

We'll begin with social and communicative opportunities in a relaxed atmosphere through discussions about experiences, how they perceived situations and relate them to emotions. Next, we will focus on open-ended, open-minded thinking and problem-solving skills, through sharing and reflecting on how we would react and what the outcomes and consequences could be to a given scenario. This will help develop a sense of self in relation to others. We will consider attitudes and attributes like responsibility, honesty, empathy, and tolerance for example. The closing will be to spend a few minutes stretching, breathing and visualizing, it could be a time to focus on certain senses like closing the eyes and listening to directions.

Activities could include games, a form of visual communication like drawing or using colour, acting, slideshows or video-clips. Depending on the activity, we could sometimes be sat at table level, be standing up, or on the floor. When there is a physical movement like stretching or striking a pose, these are not specific yogic poses.

No experience necessary. Join in anytime, or tune-in to a weekly routine of active fun!
