Have you ever wanted your teen to learn to feel more aware, present, engaged, and nonjudgmental? This is the introductory, skill-building class for them! Mindfulness skills can play a very useful role in helping students learn to be present and immersed in the world around them. In a world full of distractions, worries, and a million stimuli vying for your student's attention, developing mindfulness skills will help your teen show up better for themselves and those around them. In this class, we will cover: - WHY: The importance of a still mind in a busy world - HOW: How mindfulness can help your student in their day to day lives - WHAT: The basic skills of mindfulness, including breathing, grounding awareness, and meditation - PRACTICE: A short, guided meditation to help them practice their new mindfulness skills Ms. Rena also offers weekly guided meditation sessions, by request, through another course listing. Please check it out to learn more. Enrolling in weekly meditation and mindfulness practice is an excellent way for your student to keep working on their mindfulness skills on a regular basis.
