Description
Class Experience
Learners will learn different techniques that they can use to keep a personal journal. Learners will learn simple yoga techniques and learn yoga-journaling techniques to continue yoga on their own. Learners will be able to note which poses they connected to most and how it felt best in their body.
I am a registered yoga teacher (200 hour) as well as a child-development specialist . I also spent several years as an art teacher.
Learners will be provided with journal prompts to use on their own and will journal yoga poses so they can practice on their own, all activities outside of class are optional.
Journal (either new or already written in) OR lose pieces of paper (lined or not) Something to write or draw with + anything learner would like to add to their journal! Yoga mat is optional
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
The yoga we will be doing will be in a seated position or in a laying down position and will be very low impact. Moves will include twisting, back-bending and side stretching. No previous experience or special skills are required. A variety of modifications will be discussed for each pose to make sure they are accessible to all learners. Learners need space to fully lie down or sit-up.
