This is an ongoing class that meets three times a week to encourage daily practices of mindfulness. Mindfulness brings awareness to ourselves, increases focus, reduces stress, and increases empathy and understanding of others.

Description

Class Experience

* To develop a positive body relationship.
* Develop healthy techniques to calm and clear the mind
* To build a strong mind-body connection to help relieve stress, anxiety, 
* Build resiliency to mood fluctuations and help ward off depression.
I am a certified Yoga Alliance yoga teacher.  I am also a certified mindfulness coach and meditation guide. I love yoga and I love sharing it along with all of its benefits with my students. 

Please make sure to have water available and comfortable clothing that will allow movement.

Please also note: yoga is a physical activity and injuries can occur if children aren't supervised. Thank you. 
After Class learners are encouraged to take note of their feelings and experience from each meeting into a notebook or journal.

Learners are encouraged to write their feelings and experience from each meeting into a notebook or journal. Please have this available for them. For our Mindful Me-Day class, students will need a comfortable place to sit, they might like to have a cushion or blanket for their meditation. For Wind Down class, each week will be a different mindful activity that will be announced in the classroom on the Monday of the current week with the appropriate list of items - generally, this might be coloring pens/markers and a worksheet printout or a pen and paper for mindful journaling, or it could be some basic craft items. Students should have a yoga mat or a towel for our Flexy Funday meeting. If you are using a towel please make sure it is not on a slippery surface. Bare feet is preferable as it allows for a better grip. But if you would like to wear socks please make sure they are yoga style socks with grip points on the sole. Please have water available and loose clothing for movement.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
