US Grade 1 - 4
Beginner Level
In this one-time class, I will teach students the major parts of the brain and how these parts work together to support us. I will also introduce students to their "zone of resilience" and how to stay in their "okay" zone throughout the day. This class is inclusive for all learners. During this class, I will cover topics including: What mindfulness is, The parts of the brain, How the parts of the brain work together, The Resiliency Zone, and Ways to help stay in our "okay" zone. This class will be live on Zoom, and I will use visuals, hand models (as an easy way to remember the parts of the brain), and discussions with students. Students will engage with me throughout the entire class! My teaching style is energetic, and I have a true love for witnessing my students' "Ah-Ha!" moments!
Learning Goals
Students will improve their understanding of the parts of the brain.
Students will learn how the parts of the brain interact with each other.
