Welcome to my yoga studio! If you want to learn to breathe like a lion, stand like a tree, and fly like an airplane, THIS IS YOUR CLASS! In this ongoing yoga class, students will be taught basic breathing techniques and yoga poses. We will have a 'Yoga Pose of the Week' followed by a yoga inspired story time. The class will be broken into three segments: 1. Introductions 2. Story time 3. Breathing techniques 4. Poses & Movement 5. Resting Pose and Meditation We will conclude class with questions and conversation. This class is for beginners. No experience is required. Just come to class with an open mind, open ears, and an open heart : ) Learners may join in any week, without needing to catch up on previous material, and stay for as many weeks as they want. The pricing is weekly, charged on Sundays for the following week.
Learning Goals
Students will walk away from class with a 'Pose of the Week' that they can continue to practice on their own or share with friends and family. My hope is that they also learn techniques through movement and breath that will help them when they need to find calmness in their lives.
Other Details
Supply List
Students are not required to have any supplies for this class, however, they can bring a yoga mat, blanket, or towel to sit and stretch on during class. They will be asked to take off their shoes and socks to ensure safety and reduce slipping. Please have your child wear comfortable clothing appropriate for exercise and stretching.
