Class Experience
Nearly everyone has goals. A small handful of people actually write them down! But how many of us ever think about why we have the goal in the first place? In this one time class, we will talk about goals, why they sometimes work (and often do not) and how we can do a better job of setting goals that are meaningful. Learners will learn how to determine their "why" or reason for having a goal and how to write an action plan for achieving that goal. This class will be part discussion and part...
I have taught in both the traditional classroom and online environment for over 13 years. I love working with all learners but have the most experience working with teens. As both a teacher and mentor, I have helped teenagers and adults set and reach their personal and academic goals. I have also taken many courses, both personally and professionally, on goal setting, mindfulness and related topics. I'm thrilled to introduce this concept to young learners and help them implement it in their own lives.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
