In this ongoing class, learners will get to explore, learn to deal with, and be mindful of their pleasant and unpleasant emotions with the help of reading, crafts, yoga, and meditation.

Class experience

By the end of this course, learners will get accustomed to several mindful crafts and tools that will help them accept and deal with emotions.
I studied meditation in three different traditions (Vipassana, Kadampa Buddhism, and Shambhala) and participated in many meditation retreats. In addition, I have been practicing meditation for more than 12 years and am an avid believer in its power to create healthy, balanced minds. I hold a Master’s in Education with an emphasis in TESOL and a Bachelor’s in Teaching English and Romanian Language and Literature. I have vast experience working with children of all ages. I taught English in kindergarten for two years; I also taught elementary, middle, and high school for another two years. In addition, I worked as a nanny in Germany and taught English to international babysitters. I worked as a volunteer with foster children. I have been teaching meditation to my son for two years and have been coaching him on school projects.
Materials, as well as worksheets that need to be printed, will be posted to Classroom one week in advance. We will use crayons, paper, cardboard, glitter, etc.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
