Students can take this class multiple times to continue practicing the techniques. In this class, we will use fun exercises designed to help children learn to regulate their emotions, focus, and deal with stressful situations calmly. We will begin and end with some calming yoga poses. In this introductory class, we will do a breathing exercise that help develop concentration. Goals include cultivating an understanding of how our breath, body and mind can work together. We will have fun, while developing a greater interest in personal growth, and self awareness.
Hannah has Yoga Teacher Certification and is registered with Yoga Alliance. Her lineage is through Thiramoolar's Theraputic Ashtanga Yoga based in Chennai, India. She also has teacher training in Mindfullness through Yoga International.
Students will be encouraged to continue practicing what they learn.
No materials or supplies are needed.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students will be invited to share their thoughts and feelings at the end of class as a way of assessing their understanding and experience. This will give them an opportunity to ask questions and learn from each other. This is optional. If they don’t want to share they can listen.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
No parental guidance is necessary.
