What's included
1 live meeting
50 mins in-class hoursHomework
To continue this skill of mind mapping, I highly recommend they create three or more minds maps and share with me if they wish.Assessment
They will be assessed with immediate feedback when they share their mind map with me on the screen.Class Experience
Mind Maps are really fun especially for artistic and more right brain learners or anyone who does NOT want to use so many words in their note taking. Mind Maps can be used for brainstorming, study skills, planning, organizing, note taking, book reports/reviews, and many other ways. Students will create their own hard copy mind maps following my step by step instructions demonstrating it on a white board. They will watch a short video exactly how to begin their first mind map. The first mind map is about how to create mind maps and the second one is about themselves which they will present using the mind map as a presentation tool. They will be asked to share their mind maps with me and the class so that I can provide immediate feedback to each student. We will brainstorm ways they can create mind maps electronically or digitally including available software programs free and paid. This is an interactive class, all students are gently encouraged to engage and keep their screens on. Minimum 4 learners.
Learning Goals
By the end of class, learners will have created two mind maps and will know how to create more on their own.

I was trained two years in a row by Mr. Tony Buzan, the inventor of mind mapping, as a certified facilitator to teach mind mapping. I have used mind maps for over 20 years and taught many live classes to adults and children about mind mapping strategies. I enjoy creating and using mind maps all the time as they are very effective study strategies and memory aids. For those who learn differently, students are welcome to audit this class if they don't feel like doing it hands on due to their slower pace, or not wanting to interact or for any other reason not wanting to do the actual mind map during class. They will need to show their face to ensure its indeed a student that is auditing.
