Description

Class Experience

Students will learn how a regular diet of ultra-processed foods changes the brain structure and gets a person addicted to such foods leading to harmful effects in future.
After the class, students will be asked to post in the classroom their ideas about how they believe their diet is and if they are willing to make any changes in the future
A range of different kind of foods and food ingredients that represent a varied level of processing, such as fresh produce, frozen produce, milk (unprocessed or minimally processed foods), flour, sugar, oil (processed food ingredients), breakfast cereal, cookies and soda (highly processed foods), packaged foods, crisps etc. easily available at home.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour 10 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
We will be watching a video together which is safe age appropriate for children. However, if parents have any concerns please feel free to message.
