Description
Class Experience
Students will be told stories about battles. As stories are fundamental to understanding history, they will gain a deeper appreciation for the time, the consequences of military conflict, and stretch their historical imagination.
I have a history degree from an accredited state university, have written on historical topics, and studied the topic for years. Any sensitive topics related to covering the First World War will be covered objectively and through historical sources. The teachers bias will not play a factor- I am here to simply describe what happened, to the best of my ability.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
There will be images of soldiers who are dead or wounded, but I take care not to show anything graphic. But we are talking about battle and war.
Some sources that I will use to construct narrative: -Guns of August by Barbara W. Tuchman -Library of Congress: World War I Primary source documents and maps -The Great War: A Combat History of the First World War by Peter Hart
