Description
Class Experience
Students will learn how to read a battle map. Students will learn how to apply the Principles of War to historic battles. Students will learn about weapons, tactics, and strategy.
I hold a Master's Degree in Military History (Land Warfare) from American Military University and am a certified History teacher with 30 years experience. Plus I really like Military History.

55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
We will mainly be talking about tactics, strategy and the Principles of War not the details of combat.
We will mainly be using the West Point Military Atlas maps for our battle analyses. https://www.westpoint.edu/academics/academic-departments/history/atlases We will be using the nine Principles of War as found in U.S. Army Field Manual (FM 3-0); these are included in the class handout.
