Description

Class Experience

Students will use music to enhance development in Cognitive, Verbal, Motor and Social skills while also fostering a love for music itself.
Ms. Becky is beginning her 27th year as a music educator. Her first 14 were at the high school and middle school level. When she had her own daughters, she began teaching this age as a way to be with her kids. She quickly fell in love with the age and the way music is such a great teacher in itself! She has been teaching little ones now for over ten years. She has taken her knowledge of brain research and shared it with educators at multiple conferences speaking about how music can be used to teach.
Students will need something to work as rhythm sticks (big kitchen spoons, pencils, paint brushes.....) and an instrument for their own parade (anything will work - I frequently use a kitchen bowl as a drum). There are weeks we may use shakers (a bowl with a lid and rocks in it....) or a bean bag (a rolled up sock or beanie boo) or a scarf (a kitchen towel). These will be posted in the Classroom before the class begins!
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
This is a great Mommy and Me type class. Adults aren't required, but it is a great way to enjoy some time and learning together! This is a unique class in that I am accepting one enrollment to cover all siblings in one family and have a buy 5/ get 1 free discount. Message me for details.
