Could a wiggle be a worm?! Could a squiggle be a pirate ship on a rocky sea?! Could a scribble by an inspiring character?! Let’s find out! With permission from the author, we will begin class by readIng I’m Not Just a Scribble by Diane Alber. This is an engaging story that teaches us that scribbles can be much more than scribbles! We will discuss comprehension skills throughout the story to check for understanding. We will also challenge ourselves to think creatively and out of the box to create our own scribble pictures. Additionally, learners will be given the opportunity to practice speaking and listening skills if they wish to share their creations.

Supply List
Drawing materials of choice (crayons, markers, colored pencils, etc.) Several pages of scribble inspiration will be provided. Printing is convenient, but not required as an adult could easily duplicate the design on white paper.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
