Calling all game lovers and mighty mathematicians! In this fun, 25-minute ongoing class, we will play a different math game each week where students will have the chance to compete and practice their math skills. We will rotate through a selection of games each week, and some weeks, I might even let students vote on which game we will play! Students should have a foundational grasp of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division - but we will always have the opportunity to work problems out together, and share strategies for solving math facts! Some of the games that we will play include Race to 100, S.N.A.K.E., Multiplication Bingo, and more! Hello! My name is Jessica McGinn and I am so excited to meet your child! I graduated in 2008 with my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, and I hold an Elementary Ed teaching certificate in the state of Florida. I have 10 years of experience as a classroom teacher, where I have taught first through fourth grade. I have also taught English online to children age 4 to 14! I am passionate about teaching and about learning, and I especially love to teach reading!
I believe that all children CAN love to read. Some just haven’t found the right book yet! I hope to inspire children to want to read more, all while teaching them important reading comprehension and writing skills.
I live in sunny Florida with my husband, my two daughters, Ella and Ruthie and our dog, Buddy.
