In this class, students will learn the basic steps to the scientific method and how it applies to science and real life. We will go through and use examples for each main step of the scientific method. Students will see it modeled and then provide examples. As a teacher, I use the MAWL method: Model, Assist, Watch, Let Go. I will model the method, assist the students, watch the students, and launch them to be independent in the skill. Hello! I have been in the education field for over 25 years. Although I taught in the public school setting for 17 years, I also have experience teaching homeschool children. Currently, I homeschool my own high school and middle school children, as well as teach middle school and high school science to area homeschool students. While I have experience with various subjects and ages, I am most passionate about teaching science. I have a passion for learning and getting students to be life-long learners. I also have a deep love for history, science, and literature. My family and I currently serve as missionaries to the Cincinnati, Ohio area.
