In this 4 part class we'll use hands on activities and games to explore heredity, genotype, phenotype, recessive and dominate traits, incomplete dominance, codominance, complete Punnett Squares, and make a DNA model.

Description
Class Experience
Learners will learn vocabulary related to heredity. Learners will engage in hands on activities that support learning. Learners will create a DNA model.
Learners will need to provide toothpicks, twizzlers, and small candy pieces (dots, gummy bears or mini marshmallows work best). Teacher will provide handouts and worksheets in the classroom.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Please be advised that lessons will be presented using the Nearpod platform. Although this is a free platform, you may wish to create an account to make the log in process easier. There will be YouTube videos embedded into the Nearpod lessons. Kahoot is a free online game that does not require and account to play.
We will be using a Nearpod lesson and utilizing Kahoot to support learning.
