Class Experience
You're about to embark on an incredible adventure. In this 4-week class, we're going to learn what it really takes to survive in Minecraft. In our class, we're going to spend four weeks reading Minecraft: The Island. Each student will need a copy of the book because they WILL need to read it outside of class time to have the best experience! Note: Your child will need to read the story before each meeting. Students will read a complete novel and learn to analyze the characters, setting, and plot.
I'm a professional writer with multiple bestselling YA urban fantasy books. I've also been teaching writing and literature classes to both children and adults since 2013. I love taking a story and showing my students how we can understand it in new and interesting ways.
Students will need to do assigned readings each week.
40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
