🪶 Students will be provided fill-in-the-blank notes with short reflection sections that will allow them to individually practice reflection, analysis, and abstract thought. 🪶 These notes will be completed by the end of class (if someone misses blanks in their notes we will spend a short amount of time at the end of class to go back through and make sure everyone gets caught up).Class Experience

Students will learn how to differentiate four kinds of figurative language (metaphor, simile, symbol and hyperbole), the basic elements of poetry form (stanzas and lines), and practice skills necessary to both analysis and life in general (humility, patience, confidence, seeking understanding, self-reflection, challenging oneself)
