Class Experience

Taught by a certified music teacher, this flexible class will allow students to study various music history, theory, and appreciation skills. 

Topics will include:
Unit 1: Introduction to Music Theory
Week 1: Sound and Pitch
Week 2: Voices and Instruments
Week 3: Rythm 
Week 4: Melody, Harmony, Key
Week 5: Musical Texture
Week 6: Musical Form
Week 7: Musical Performance and Style
Week 8: Final Project

Students will receive pre-recorded lessons weekly from the instructor and access platforms...

Certified K-12 Music Teacher
Master's Degree in Music Technology

After each week, students will be given optional homework assignments/projects to work on outside class. Students will then be able to turn in their assignments to receive a final grade.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Nearpod

Students will complete a final research project at the end of class.

No live meetings, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.

Nearpod will be used during this class. No account will be needed.
