Class Experience

Does the thought of 6th grade scare you? Did you struggle in your 5th grade class? Do you actually love math? Do you want to brush up on your math skills over the summer? Do you love games? If any of these describe you, then this is your class! 

In this once-weekly ongoing class, students will learn the "why" behind the "how" of major 5th Grade concepts using concrete examples, and then practice by playing a variety of games on Blooket and/or having some discussion with other students. The...

Students will improve their understanding of 5th grade math, prevent summer learning loss, and gain confidence in their math skills.

Students will be provided with an optional game to play each week.

Students will need pencil and paper (or a whiteboard and a marker).

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Google Slides
Blooket

30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
