Middle School Level 1 Integrated Science Flex Class: Semester 1

The students will be able to identify, explain, and demonstrate the concepts related to each lesson in the related fields of chemistry and physics as described in the class description.
Homework OfferedWeekly homework will be assessed through the completion of the assignments given. Students should spend about 45 per day (counted as in-class time) total working on the daily assignments, anything not finished in that time would be considered homework. Projects will take extra time beyond the 45 minutes suggested per day. Time may vary depending on student ability.

Assessments OfferedLearner progress will be assessed formally and informally through the participation of assignments, labs, quizzes, and projects. These will be checked for mastery of the topic. Number or letter grades can be provided upon request.
Learner supply list will be updated as the class progresses. Supplies needed for the first day of class: composition notebook or spiral colored pencils glue/tape pencil or pen Lab supplies will be posted at least a week in advance to allow time to gather for the assignment. Most lab supplies can be found around the house or purchased at your local grocery store.
Any sources, websites, articles, or other books will be listed in the classroom. Codes will be provided for nearpod, peardeck, khan academy, CK12 flex books, kahoot, and Canvas if applicable for the lessons. Each website and application is free for the student use as invited by the teacher.
