In this ongoing class, students will review and practice a series of grammar topics. Each week will cover a new topic and there will be in class practice to work on the skill. There may he an occasional at home assignment for students to complete and return for feedback. Students can be enrolled for as many or as few topics as desired. Students will learn various grammar topics and how to use and/or recognize them.
I have over 16 years of teaching experience at the middle, high school and college levels. Grammar skills are crucial to good writing. While I also offer classes that break down various writing skills, a good grammar foundation is the first step. I aim to make each class engaging while also getting students to learn.
Occasional homework may be assigned if more practice is needed. For most topics, students will practice/use the concept during the class time in various practice activities.
There will be a occasional handouts for assignments and/or information.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Learners will work through a series of practice activities throughout the duration of each class and share/discuss the responses.
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
