Week 1Lesson 1Complete, Fragment, & Run-on SentencesStudents will learn how to identify and fix sentence fragments and run-ons by transforming them into complete sentences.Week 2Lesson 2Verb TensesStudents will learn how to identify and write in simple past, present, and future; progressive past, present, and future; and perfect past, present, and future.Week 3Lesson 3Dependent & Independent ClausesStudents will learn how to identify and write dependent and independent clauses to create compound and complex sentences.Week 4Lesson 4Subject & Object PronounsStudents will learn how to identify and write subject and object pronouns in sentences as well as the words I and me.Week 5Lesson 5Comparative & Superlative Adjectives & AdverbsStudents will learn how to write comparative and superlative adjectives and adverbs while learning how to differentiate between them.Week 6Lesson 6Possessive NounsStudents will learn how to identify and write singular and plural possessive nouns by adding an apostrophe in the correct place.Week 7Lesson 7Subject & PredicateStudents will learn how to identify and write the simple and complete subject or predicate of each sentence.Week 8Lesson 8Appositives & InfinitivesStudents will learn how to identify and write appositive and infinitive phrases in sentences.Week 9Lesson 9Declarative, Interrogative, Imperative, & ExclamatoryStudents will learn how to identify and write declarative, interrogative, imperative, and exclamatory sentences with correct ending marks.Week 10Lesson 10Plural Compound NounsStudents will learn how to create plural nouns including plural compound nouns.Week 11Lesson 11Commas: Direct Addresses, Introductory Words, Interjections, & InterruptersStudents will learn how to add commas to sentences with direct addresses, introductory words, interjections, & interrupters.Week 12Lesson 12Correlative ConjunctionsStudents will learn how to identify and write correlative conjunctions to show connection within a sentence.
This class is taught in English.
Students will practice grammar and sentence structure using interactive activities.
