Week 1Lesson 1Prepositional PhrasesStudents will learn how to identify and write prepositions and prepositional phrases within sentences.Week 2Lesson 2Linking VerbsStudents will learn how to identify and write linking verbs, predicate adjectives, and predicate nouns.Week 3Lesson 3Reflexive, Intensive, & Personal PronounsStudents will learn how to identify and write reflexive and intensive pronouns while comparing them to personal pronouns.Week 4Lesson 4Direct & Indirect ObjectsStudents will learn how to identify and write direct and indirect objects in sentences.Week 5Lesson 5Relative PronounsStudents will learn how to identify and write relative pronouns (who, whom, whose, which, that) to create relative clauses.Week 6Lesson 6GerundsStudents will learn how to identify and write gerunds and gerund phrases in sentences.Week 7Lesson 7Relative ClausesStudents will learn how to combine sentences using relative clauses.Week 8Lesson 8Verb MoodStudents will learn how to create the indicative, imperative, and subjunctive verb moods in sentences.Week 9Lesson 9Indefinite Pronoun & Verb AgreementStudents will learn how to identify and write indefinite pronouns while ensuring the present tense verb agrees in number.Week 10Lesson 10Misplaced or Dangling ModifiersStudents will learn how to identify and fix misplaced or dangling modifiers to create clear writing.Week 11Lesson 11Compound Subjects with Correct VerbsStudents will learn how to choose the correct present tense verb when writing with a compound subject.Week 12Lesson 12Semicolons, Colons, & CommasStudents will learn how to identify and use semicolons, colons, and commas in a series or clause.
