*This course is the FLEXIBLE schedule version of Middle School Essay Writing Made Easy and does not meet live. The sessions are prerecorded. The recording and material will be posted on the start day of each week. For example, if you enrol for the Monday session, all material will be posted on Monday by noon EST. Students will learn the essential ingredients of the 5-paragraph academic essay and the skills necessary to produce their own successfully.
I have been a middle school and senior level English teacher for more than 20 years.
Students will have homework following each class - developing arguments, planning outlines, and composing original essays.
Students will all receive peer-to-peer as well as the teacher's feedback on their essays following the marking scheme / essay checklist and feedback sheets that we use in class.
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Worksheets and marking schemes will be provided during the class. Each of the four lessons will be delivered using a private YouTube link.
