The Diary of Anne Frank is a book about war and the Holocaust. Due to the topics of this book, please make sure your learner is okay with sad themes and themes of death. The Diary of Anne Frank also discusses Anne's first person perspective as she goes through puberty. This is a common middle school book, and is one of the most popular books ever written in history. The content is appropriate, but make sure your learner is not uncomfortable with themes of war or violence.
